I chose 2 people from moca because I liked them both the best. The picture above is called Sugar n' Spice from Cindy McDaniel. I like this because to me it reflects society today. Unfortunately, the kids of this generation are growing up too fast. The lipstick and nail polish are the spice and reflect the loss of innocence at an early age. The sugar is the innocence they still have. I like the name because it reflects the picture accurately. She says, "I combine mediums but mostly I work from just my photos in Photoshop." I like her technique very much. I have a couple of her pictures on my fotothing if you want to see more. The other picture all the way at the top is called Vanishing Youth by Marc Moss. I love the way he uses color in this. I also like the title because it looks like a young boy walking away from the light to the dark which can be seen as him aging. He says about his work, "I have begun to concentrate more on photography, first with painting on my own b+w photographs and now with digital photography. I work with an Olympus dslr and Photoshop 7 software. I take images from architecture, nature, and people and combine them to create unique spiritual landscapes. I hope that my work will help the viewer to connect with his/her own sense of spirituality." I see surrealness in his work and I liked that very much. I have another one of his works posted on my photothing as well.
